The Cooperative Education Program is a paid training program intended to create full-time employment opportunities for students who have successfully completed their assignments. Therefore, to be qualified to participate in the Cooperative Education Program, the applicant must be ready, willing and able to accept full-time employment upon graduation from college.*
Qualifications for Undergraduates
- Overall GPA 2.6 or more
- Matriculating in a bachelor’s degree program in one of the previously listed majors
that also includes co-op education as a requirement - Available to work full time (35 hours, Monday to Friday) for a 3-to-6-month period
Qualifications for Graduate Students
- Overall GPA 3.0 or more
- Involved in one of the previously listed majors
- Available to work full time (35 hours, Monday to Friday) for at least one year
Conditions for Summer Employment
- Had a past c -op experience with NYC Transit or
- Worked at NYC Transit the preceding semester or
- Plan to continue through fall semester
