TUSKEGEE AIRMEN:
The 100th St Depot was renamed "Tuskegee Airmen Bus Depot" to honor to the brave men of the first African-American military pilots air squadron.  Many of the airmen after WW II came to work for New York City Transit, and their service in battle and at Transit will now live on.

Jefrick Dean is an MTA New York City Transit bus operator, who performs with pride, dedication, dignity, and an unswerving concern for his customers and fellow workers.  His outstanding public service was recognized with a Sloan Public Service Award.

The New Partners to Build New York Conference

MTA & MINORITY BUSINESS:
In March the MTA hosted “The New Partners to Build New York Conference.”  The goal was to create business opportunities for New York minority, women & disadvantaged business owners.  This year was unique as members of the business community from Puerto Rico attended.

New York Transit Museum's exhibit "SHARIN' A RIDE":
The New York Transit Museum will morph from exhibit space to a stage for a delightful original performance that connects the history of New York City's mass transit with the themes of April's Earth Day, helping kids to understand concepts like sustainability and reducing your carbon footprint.
LIFT NET PROGRAM LIFT NET PROGRAM:
Getting around Grand Central Terminal is a lot easer thanks to New York City Transits "Lift Net Program".  When elevators and escalators break down, this new program gets them up and running quickly.
TA's GOT TALENT COMEDY SHOW TA's GOT TALENT COMEDY SHOW:
From bus operators to train conductors, even management got into the act.  Employees of New York City Transit got on stage at the Broadway Comedy Club to show off their talent.  Singers, dancers, bands, and even comedians brought down the house, proving Transit employees
